On 28 February 2024, the Union of Women Engineers of the Banadir Region (MiGiGOB) proudly took part in the Mother & Child Expo, organized by Macallin Kobac – Training, Counseling & Awareness and held at Beerta Banaadir. This annual event, now in its third year, brought together families, community groups, professionals, and various organizations committed to education, empowerment, and social development.
In the photo above, a group of MiGiGOB members and collaborators stand at their exhibition booth, showcasing engineering models and engaging with visitors. Their collective presence highlighted the Union’s dedication to outreach and public awareness.
Throughout the exhibition, MiGiGOB focused on community education, especially for women attending the expo. The team introduced participants to the fundamentals of engineering, shared the importance of STEM fields, and explained the mission and activities of the Union of Women Engineers. Many visitors—mostly women and mothers—were eager to learn about engineering pathways and the opportunities available for young girls interested in technical careers.
The event provided a valuable platform to inspire, inform, and build stronger community understanding of engineering as a vital field for women and future generations. MiGiGOB remains committed to promoting awareness, offering guidance, and strengthening the presence of women in engineering across the Banadir region.
