We unite Somali women engineers and students to share experiences, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.
We organize seminars, technical trainings, and skill-building programs to help women engineers thrive in their fields.
Over 150 members from 15+ universities and professionals actively working to advance women’s role in engineering and national development.
The Banadir Region Women Engineers Association (BRWEA) is a professional network founded in March 2023 by visionary Somali female engineers from various universities. We are dedicated to empowering women in engineering through mentorship, collaboration, and skill development — creating a strong community of women leading Somalia’s rebuilding and innovation.
BRWEA connects professional and student engineers from over 15 universities in Mogadishu and surrounding areas. Together, we share experiences, organize training, and promote women’s participation in engineering and national development.
