Members of the Executive Council of the Union of Women Engineers in Mogadishu (MiGiGOB), led by the Union’s Chairperson, paid an official visit to the offices of the Somali Girls Hope Association (SOGHA)—an organization dedicated to raising awareness, supporting, educating, and empowering girls across Somalia.
The delegation received a warm welcome from SOGHA’s Chairperson, Ustada Aamina Abdulqaadir Nur, along with several members of their executive team. The meeting created a friendly and collaborative atmosphere as both sides engaged in meaningful discussions.
The agenda of the visit focused on introductions, information exchange, and experience sharing, with both organizations expressing a strong interest in strengthening their partnership. Key topics included community outreach, girls’ education, empowerment programs, and areas where joint initiatives could amplify impact.
The session concluded positively with both MiGiGOB and SOGHA agreeing to a formal cooperation framework, aimed at enhancing support for girls and young women—especially those pursuing education, skill development, and professional growth.
This partnership marks an important step toward expanding opportunities, increasing awareness, and building a stronger support network for Somali girls in technical and non-technical fields alike.
